13. Diploma in Jigs & Fixture Maker
The jigs and fixtures are the economical ways to produce a component in mass. So jigs and fixtures are used and serve as one of the most important facility of mass production system. These are special work holding and tool guiding device. Quality of the performance of a process largely influenced by the quality of jigs and fixtures used for this purpose. What makes a fixture unique is that each one is built to fit a particular part or shape.
The main purpose of a fixture is to locate and in case to hold a work piece during an operation. A jig differs from a fixture in the sense that it guides the tool to its correct position or towards its correct movement during an operation in addition to locating and supporting the workpiece.
14. Diploma In Structural Welding Technology
The Welding Technology curriculum provides students a sound understanding of the science, technology, and applications essential for successful employment in the welding and metal industry.
Instruction includes consumable and non-consumable electrode welding and cutting processes. Courses in math, blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive and non-destructive testing provides the student with industry-standard skills developed through classroom training and practical application.
Successful graduates of the Welding Technology curriculum may be employed as entrylevel technicians in welding and metalworking industries. Career opportunities also exist in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, sales, quality control, supervision, and weldingrelated self employment.
15. Diploma In Tig And Mig Welding Technology
hot wire GTAW has recognized benefits in welding. Hot wire technology is readily mechanized and automated and increased deposition rates are realized. The independent control of the arc and wire feed variables allow for flexibility in setting parameters. Skills required for operation of cold wire GTA apply to hot wire so additional training is minimized.
16. Diploma In Mechanical Fitter
This course is designed to provide training in basic mechanical engineering techniques for persons from a non-engineering background. The course may be studied as part of a multi skill flexibility programme. To provide instruction and practice in basic mechanical engineering fitting skills and the correct and safe use of engineering tools.
